Abstract
In hydraulic systems driven by fast-switching solenoid valves, the uti lization of conventional adaptive predictive controllers usually requi res much computational effort, and thus it is difficult to realize rea l-time implementations in plants using short sampling times. This pape r deals with an adaptive unified predictive controller which can he im plemented conveniently for hydraulic systems driven by fast-switching solenoid valves. It is clarified by experimental investigation that th e amount of computational effort is considerably reduced by employing the proposed controller. It is also clarified that the controller perm its convenient and easy implementation of an adaptive predictive contr ol scheme for on/off tracking control systems.
