Abstract
Thirty-nine patients were evaluated after retropubic prostatectomy, by urodynamic studies. They were divided into three groups depending upo n the degree of urinary continence. A statistically significant differ ence was found between different groups in mean functional profile len gth and maximal urethral closure pressure. Differences in age, previou s prostatic surgery, tumour extension, or preservation of the neurobun dles did not have any significant influence on recovery of continence.
