Abstract
The complete cDNA sequence for the FAC1 gene has been isolated from hu man fetal brain. The FAC1 cDNA encodes for a protein of 810 amino acid s that contains a putative Zn2+-finger binding domain, nuclear transpo rt signals and a charged acidic domain that may function in protein-pr otein interactions. Identification of the complete cDNA and protein se quence of FAC1 permits further insight into potential functions for th is developmentally regulated gene product.
