Abstract
The paper presents a method of evaluation of cutoff frequencies of hig her-order modes of transmission line of parallel cylinders by transfor ming them into a parallel plate configuration using cotangent hyperbol ic transformation, Application of the method of finite difference to t he weighted Helmholtz equation leads to a set of simultaneous equation s. The eigenvalues related to cutoff frequencies are determined from t he characteristic equation expressed in terms of matrices obtained fro m the simultaneous equations, Numerical data are presented.
