Jm. Song et al., ELECTRON ATTENUATION LENGTH IN RHODAMINE-B ARACHIDIC ACID LANGMUIR-BLODGETT-FILMS BY LASER 2-PHOTON IONIZATION, Langmuir, 12(26), 1996, pp. 6518-6520
The photoelectron attenuation through layers of arachidic acid in a La
ngmuir-Blodgett film has been investigated by measuring the photocurre
nt. The photoelectrons were generated by the two-photon ionization of
rhodamine B on a NESA glass substrate. The electron attenuation length
was determined to be 4.2 nm for photoeletrons with a kinetic energy o
f 0.5-1.1 eV. The value did not depend on the applied electric field o
f 1.25-3.75 kV/cm.
