Mx. Li et Jm. Lavest, SOME ASPECTS OF ZOOM LENS CAMERA CALIBRATION, IEEE transactions on pattern analysis and machine intelligence, 18(11), 1996, pp. 1105-1110
Zoom lens camera calibration is an important and difficult problem for
two reasons at least. First, the intrinsic parameters of such a camer
a change over time, it is difficult to calibrate them online. Secondly
, the pin-hole model for single lens system can not be applied directl
y to a zoom lens system. In this paper, we address some aspects of thi
s problem, such as determining principal point by zooming, modeling an
d calibration of lens distortion and focal length, as well as some pra
ctical aspects. Experimental results on calibrating cameras with compu
ter controlled zoom, focus and aperture are presented.
