Abstract
The nucleus of common wheats Novosibirskaya 67 and Byelorusskaya 80 wa s introduced into the cytoplasm of Secale cereale, Agropyron trichopho rum and Aegilops variabilis by backrossing. A cytogenetic study of mei osis in plants of alloplasmic lines was carried out. Different meiotic irregularities were observed. The alloplasmic lines of Novosibirskaya 67 and Byelorusskaya 80 with Secale cereale and Agropyron trichophoru m cytoplasm were found to carry one or two extra chromosomes with impo rtant contribution to adaptation of plants.
