APPLICATION OF IE TO THE PLAN OF PRODUCTION LINE IN FACTORY

industry Engineering (I.E.) embodies the comprehensive applications of System Analysis. Modem Manufacturing Technology and human-factor Engi neering etc., which can result in a continuous increase of the efficie ncy and profits in the production. This paper is to study the applicat ions of LE. in the field of design by creating a system of planning an d design production line composed of Modular Machine Tools (MMT). An i ntelligent quotation system of MMT line (IQSML) det-eloped by authors will be introduced in this paper. CAD and CAG technology, Expert Syste m, System Analysis method and man-machine interface etc. are applied i n planning and building the system. Some feasible schemes can be provi ded automatically by the system, then an optimal scheme can be output by proper intervention of the expert. At the same time, a sketch map s howing the line and scheme diagram of every MMT is going to be output and the reasonable price will be quoted. All these processes can be co mpleted by computer rapidly. therefore, IQSML greatly increase the eff iciency of design and lever of atomization. This paper summarizes the idea and practical application of I.E. in this project, and only discu sses about comprehensive evaluation of feasible schemes which are gene rated by this system.
