Vi. Okulov et al., ELECTRONIC MECHANISM OF MAGNETIC-FIELD-IN DUCED CHANGE OF SOUND-VELOCITY IN MAGNETICALLY ORDERED METALLIC SUPERLATTICES, Fizika nizkih temperatur, 22(7), 1996, pp. 832-834
It is shown that magnetic-deformation interaction of electrons with el
astic oscillations in metallic magnetic superlattices causes the depen
dence of sound velocity on magnetic field strength to appear, which is
associated with a change of the relative orientation of ferromagnetic
metal layers magnetization. A correlation was predicted between simil
ar magnetic-field dependences of elastic modules slid magnetoresistanc
e in the superlattices with a giant magnetoresistance. The formulas ar
e given describing the manifestation of the effect at normal ultrasoun
d, penetration and in the spectrum of Love's waves for the structures
consisting of the multilayered film under consideration and bulk cryst
al sublayer.
