This study shows that first and second derivative UV spectrophotometry
are useful for the analysis of OPP and PCMC respectively when present
together. Linear calibration graphs were established over a concentra
tion range of 10-50 mu g/ml. The results were found to be comparable t
o GC-MSD data. The application of this simple and rapid technique for
the analysis of OPP and PCMC in leather preservative formulations is d
escribed.
