Abstract
16 valves motors are more and more used today, therefore manufacturers have to increase the quality of valve's springs. Studies on material elaboration, on wire drawing, on the forming and finishing process of springs are running. The aim of this study is to know the effects of p rocess steps on residual stresses developed in the spring, especialy a fter shot peening.
