P. Pouponclairet et al., EVOLUTION OF RESIDUAL-STRESSES OF EZ100CD 17 BEARING STEEL AS A FUNCTION OF PRODUCTION CONDITIONS IN CONTACT FATIGUE - X-RAY-DIFFRACTION MEASURES, Journal de physique. IV, 6(C4), 1996, pp. 273-278
Microstructural parameters, residual stresses have a large influence a
n mechanical properties, fatigue behaviour in the EZ100CD17 ball beari
ng steel. Various thermal treatments were realized in order to change
the microstructure. The volume fractions of phases and mechanical char
acteristics, for example, are modified. The influences of heat treatme
nts, conditions of grinding will be studied The influence of microstru
cture on the evolution of residual stresses after mechanical testing i
n loading contact fatigue will then be shown. The residual stresses of
first et second order for the {211} planes of martensite will be cons
idered, measured by Xray diffraction. The macroscopic and microscopic
residual stresses are influenced by the thermal treatments and by mech
anical testing.
