Abstract
A new multichannel filter suitable for noise reduction and edge preser vation is introduced here. The new filter uses adaptively determined d ata-dependent coefficients. The special case of colour image processin g is studied as an important example of multichannel signal processing . Simulation results indicate that the new filter is computationally a ttractive and has excellent performance.
