Theoretical relations are obtained for the viscosity variation during
the radical polymerization, when the initiation reaction proceeds acco
rding to a second-order kinetic equation. Experimental data reported i
n the preceding paper on the rheological kinetics of radical polymeriz
ation of acrylamide in water, initiated by a redox system, confirmed v
alidity of the derived expressions and showed the possibility to solve
an inverse rheokinetic problem and determine the rate constants for t
he chain propagation and termination from the curves of viscosity vari
ation with time, measured under various synthetic conditions. The E(i)
-E(0)/2 value calculated using the temperature dependence of the react
ion mass viscosity was 19.3 kJ/mol.
