Ev. Anufrieva et al., THE INFLUENCE OF ALUMINUM SALTS ON THE ST RUCTURE FORMATION IN POLYMER-SOLUTIONS, Vysokomolekularnye soedinenia. Seria A, 38(9), 1996, pp. 1614-1618
Polarized luminescence technique was used to study the interaction bet
ween the macromolecules of the acrylamide-acrylic acid copolymer and A
l3+ ions in aqueous saline solutions. The relaxation times characteriz
ing the intramolecular mobility of macromolecules were determined, and
the changes in these times on addition of Al3+ ions to the solution o
f copolymer were analyzed. To determine the fraction of stable cross-l
inks formed by Al3+ ions in the macromolecules of copolymer, a method
using a competing copolymer was developed. The fractions of stable cro
ss-links in the macromolecules of copolymers of various composition we
re determined for various times of the Al3+-copolymer interaction.
