Abstract
A comprehensive kinetic study of the 2-vinylpyridine living polymeriza tion initiated by lithium derivatives in hydrocarbon solvents was carr ied out. Rate constants of propagation and thermodynamic parameters we re determined and discussed in relation to the structure of the propag ating species. C-13 NMR spectrometric measurements performed on a mode l molecule of the living ends corroborate the conclusions derived from the values of kinetic and thermodynamic parameters.
