T. Nagata et al., ISOCAM CVF OBSERVATIONS OF THE QUINTUPLET AND OBJECT-NUMBER-17 CLUSTERS NEAR THE GALACTIC-CENTER, Astronomy and astrophysics, 315(2), 1996, pp. 205-208
Two fields near the Galactic Center, containing the Quintuplet and Obj
ect #17 star-clusters, have been imaged with the ISOCAM circular varia
ble filters (CVFs) in the wavelength range of 2.47 - 3.08 mu m and 3.9
9 - 9.09 mu m. Emission of [Ar II] 6.99 mu m is detected in the ''pist
ol-shaped'' H II region (G0.15-0.05) to the south bf the Quintuplet cl
uster. Absorption probably due to O-H stretching vibration (2.8 mu m)
is evident in the Quintuplet spectra. In addition, Quintuplet members
and the central part of Object #17 have CO2(4.3 mu m) and CO (4.7 mu m
) absorption. Abundant CO2 might be present in these lines of sight.
