Abstract
The authors introduce several new approximations to the cylindrical wi re kernel. These approximations are derived from a recently found exac t series solution for the cylindrical wire kernel. II is also demonstr ated that the well-known reduced kernel and far-zone approximations ma y be obtained as special limiting cases of this series.
