Abstract
Distal end malfunction of a ventriculoperitoneal shunt occurs secondar y to outgrown, disconnected, fractured, or occluded peritoneal cathete rs. Replacement of such catheters normally requires a minilaparotomy. The authors describe a simple technique for peritoneal catheter replac ement without minilaparotomy.
