Ma. Zapevalov et al., HIGHLY SENSITIVE PROCEDURE FOR GAS-CHROMATOGRAPHIC DETERMINATION OF TRIETHYLAMINE IN ATMOSPHERIC AIR, Journal of analytical chemistry, 51(11), 1996, pp. 1106-1108
A highly sensitive gas-chromatographic procedure for determining triet
hylamine in atmospheric air is developed. it involves the chemisorptio
n preconcentration of trace amines in sulfuric acid, their subsequent
elution with a berate buffer solution (pH 10) and transfer to an organ
ic phase, and gas-chromatographic determination using detection with a
selective surface-ionization detector. The total error of the procedu
re is about 20% in the determination of triethylamine in air at a leve
l of 0.8 MPC.
