Abstract
A new procedure for purification of endoglucanase from the Penicillium verruculosum cellulase complex is described. The method involves ammo nium sulfate precipitation and immunosorbent chromatography. Character istics of the enzyme purified by the new method were compared with tho se of the enzyme prepared by the conventional procedure. The method si gnificantly reduces the cost and time required for isolation and purif ication of cellulases.
