The luminiscence band with the maximum at lambda-633-642 nm has been o
bserved in studies of the luminiscence spectra of fresh human venous b
lood serum with added erythrocytes from the same blood excited by the
impulse nitrogen laser at the wavelength lambda-337 nm. This band is c
orresponds to the luminiscence of a blood porphyrine, namely protoporp
hyrine IX, Based on the observed data, we conclude that the endogenous
blood porphyrine bound by protein is one of the primary specific phot
oacceptors for radiation of the helium-argon laser generating at the w
avelength lambda-633 nm.
