against blood trypomastigote forms of Trypanosoma cruzi, the causativ
e agent of Chagas' disease, Eleven of them caused 100% growth inhibiti
on of T. cruzi Y strain and eight of these were active also against CL
strain, Vernonia pedunculata DC was the most active species amongst t
hose assessed.
