Abstract
The intensity of coherent backscattering from pointlike anisotropic sc atterers is calculated. The polarized component has a peak in the back ward direction, whereas the depolarized component does not exhibit a b ackscattering enhancement unlike the depolarized component for the iso tropic scatterer case. These results agree with the measurement data o n a disordered nematic liquid crystal.
