It is possible to disturb the equilibrium velocity distribution of mol
ecules in a gas by absorption of narrow band laser light. This leads t
o light induced transport phenomena. We report on experiments, where w
e have measured the pressure difference caused by light induced viscou
s flow and where we have separated the two nuclear spin modifications
of CH3F with the help of light induced drift.
