Abstract
Flow perturbations produced by small rigid motion of a circular cylind er in a rigid concentric circular duct containing uniform axial Bow ar e simulated using an incompressible inviscid model of the fluid behavi or. An exact solution is obtained and used to compute the force and mo ment on the center body. The behavior of these quantities is discussed in the context of flow induced vibrations.
