Abstract
Homicide is a significant public health problem in the USA and a perva sive concern in other nations as well. This paper evaluates the past y ear's contributions to the psychiatric literature with special emphasi s on etiological considerations. In particular, advances in predictive capability and the growing importance of biological factors are exami ned.
