Based on the analysis of mass spectra of negative ions, the processes
of dissociative resonant electron capture by molecules of seven crown
ethers were discussed in comparison with those for 1,2-dihydroxybenzen
e and two 1,2-substituted benzenes with open ethylene glycol units. Fo
r all of these compounds, relative cross sections of dissociative elec
tron capture with respect to the most abundant negative ions in the sp
ectra were evaluated.
