Sv. Anishchik et al., ON THE FEASIBILITY OF IDENTIFYING THE FORMATION MECHANISM OF SECONDARY CATIONS BY MEANS OF ELECTRIC-FIELD QUENCHING RECOMBINATION FLUORESCENCE, High energy chemistry, 30(6), 1996, pp. 397-402
A procedure is proposed for experimental verification of the hypothesi
s on the existence of a mechanism of fast formation of the secondary r
adical cations in dilute organic solutions by electric-field quenching
of recombination fluorescence. To test this procedure, time profiles
of quenching under various conditions were simulated by the Monte Carl
o method. It was shown that the time profile is strongly dependent on
the mechanism of formation of the secondary cations and on the scaveng
er concentration, but is low-sensitive to the form and parameters of t
he initial distance distribution in pairs and to the track density.
