Jl. Bernaud et P. Vrignaud, INTEREST INVENTORY FEEDBACK AND VOCATIONA L COUNSELING - A REVIEW, OFMETHODS AND THEIR EFFECTS, European review of applied psychology, 46(2), 1996, pp. 109-119
Career counseling practices frequently involve use of professional int
erest questionnaires, the results of which are given to the subjects.
What are the existing methods of feedback and how effective are they?
In order to reply to these questions, this article offers a review of
the work carried out in this field. The methods appear to be globally
comparable in terms of their effect, which is appreciable, especially
for the vocational maturity evolution criterion. However, the methods'
effectiveness increases with their period of application and when the
y are chosen in relation to the characteristics of the subjects. The d
iscussion raises a few methodological points which might enrich future
research.
