Abstract
The sequential substitution of two Fe(CO)(3) groups in [(mu-H)(2)Fe-3( mu(3)-Se) (CO)(9)] with isolobal fragments CpW(CO)(2) (the first stage ) and CpMo(CO), (the second stage) has been shown to result in the tit le heterotrimetal cluster [FeMoW(mu(3)-Se) (CO)(7)Cp(2)]. Its structur e and the structure of its [FeW2(mu(3)-Se)(CO)(7)Cp(2)] analog obtaine d previously have been determined by X-ray analysis. Copyright (C) 199 6 Elsevier Science Ltd
