We describe a type of dissipative structure namely, triadic Hopf-stati
c patterns, which are in fact drifting spots in a rhombic or rhomboida
l arrangement. They are generated by a resonant interaction between si
multaneously unstable Hopf and static modest. We analyze triadic Hopf-
static patterns in a nonlinear optical system consisting of a thin lay
er of two-level material and a feedback mirror with explicit inclusion
of delay effects.
