The widely known method of collecting and accounting the meiobenthos w
as adapted and used for studying the juvenile stages of macrobenthos (
pseudomeiobenthos) of soft sediments. Vertical and horizontal distribu
tion of juvenile and adult macrobenthos related to the mareographic le
vel, macrophytes, texture, density, moisture and gas regime of sedimen
ts are considered. An insignificant correlation in the pattern of the
spatial distribution in young and adult organisms of macrobenthos with
a pelagic larva are found. In the species without a pelagic larva thi
s correlation is much higher.
