Integration of photovoltaic (Py) technology in buildings must always b

n, This paper presents analytical models to estimate the energy and ec
onomic performances of PV grid-connected systems in non-ideal situatio
ns, i.e. considering spatial constraints (orientations, possible shado
wing), technical characteristics and energy interchanges with the elec
tricity grid, It offers a useful tool for the PV system designer, avoi
ding otherwise complex performance calculations.
