Abstract
In aesthetically demanding locations of the dentition, the replacement of a single tooth by means of an oral implant is often difficult beca use of technical limitations of the abutment systems used. The Transve rsal Fixation System(R) in combination with the Octa(R) abutment of th e ITI Dental Implant System(R) presents a novel development to overcom e these Limitations. The report describes the engineering and design o f this technical development.
