Abstract
Based on detailed investigation of the working conditions and the char acteristics of dot matrix print heads, this paper sets up a model repr esenting the thermal properties of the print heads, and develops the m ethods for the computation of heat generation, heat dissipation, and s teady temperature field of the print heads in the stage of design of t he print heads. A experiment is carried out to confirm the analysis an d calculation.
