Abstract
Hepatitis due to toxoplasmosis is present in most patients with the co ngenital form of the disease but is rare in adults in the absence of i mmune deficiency. A case of acquired toxoplasmosis with cholestatic ja undice and a rash as the first manifestations was seen in an immunocom petent adult. The diagnosis was established on the basis of high level s of specific antibodies and results of the 2-mercapto-ethanol test. T he outcome was spontaneously favorable.
