Background: A primary extramedullary plasmacytoma of the head and neck
is a rare neoplasm with an incidence of 1%. The clinical features dep
end on localization. Patients: The clinical features, the method of di
agnosis, and response to treatment of two cases with different localiz
ation were analysed. Results: For diagnosis immunohistological and ser
ological investigations are necessary. Conclusions: The method of trea
tment is determined by complete staging.
