Abstract
A theory of the intervalley electron-phonon interaction in the monolay er (AlAs)(1)(GaAs)(1)(001) superlattice (SL) is developed. The electro n spectrum is calculated in the pseudo-potential method. The phonon sp ectrum was deduced with a convolution approach in a bond-charge model. Electron-phonon coupling constants are derived in a rigid-ion approxi mation. A reconstruction of the electron and phonon spectra in SLs pro duces some new scattering channels in comparison with the binary const ituents. This is important for electron transport phenomena.
