Abstract
The balloon-borne Millimeter Wave Anisotropy Experiment (MAX) observes fluctuations in the cosmic microwave background (CMB) on one degree a ngular scales. Measurements at these angular scales constrain scenario s of large scale structure formation. This paper presents an overview of the MAX experiment and the data obtained thus far from the four fli ghts of the MAX experiment.
