We have used the photoacoustic technique in an open photoacoustic cell
configuration to measure the thermal diffusivity of conducting polypy
rrole films. The samples were obtained by electrochemical deposition f
rom solutions of pyrrole dissolved in 0.08 M p-toluene sulfonic acid a
nd their thicknesses were in the 50-125 mu m range. The thermal diffus
ivity ct was found to be very dependent on the synthesis conditions. (
