Abstract
Mismanagement of the stallion may result in behavioral problems that c an have an adverse effect on reproductive efficiency. However, care sh ould be taken to differentiate behavioral problems from pathological f actors that may result in abnormal behavior. Stallion behavior is infl uenced by the imposed breeding season, management, and environmental f actors. Personality, temperament, previous experience, and health stat us are important considerations in the development and management of t he stallion.
