APPLICATION OF DIFFERENTIAL TRANSFORMATION TO EIGENVALUE PROBLEMS

Using differential transformation to solve eigenvalue problems is intr oduced in this study. First, differential transformation is introduced briefly. Second, taking differential transformation of the Strum-Liou ville problem, a set of difference equations is derived. Doing some si mple mathematics operations on these operations, we can get any ith ei genvalue and eigenfunction at a time. Finally, two eigenvalue problems are solved by the present method. The calculated results are compared closely with the results obtained by another analytical method.
