Using differential transformation to solve eigenvalue problems is intr
oduced in this study. First, differential transformation is introduced
briefly. Second, taking differential transformation of the Strum-Liou
ville problem, a set of difference equations is derived. Doing some si
mple mathematics operations on these operations, we can get any ith ei
genvalue and eigenfunction at a time. Finally, two eigenvalue problems
are solved by the present method. The calculated results are compared
closely with the results obtained by another analytical method.
