This note presents an unconstrained predictive control algorithm for s
table systems described in terms of impulse representation. Closed-loo
p nominal stability is guaranteed by imposing only one terminal constr
aint at the end of the prediction horizon. Robustness with respect to
uncertainties in the impulse response coefficients is enhanced by mean
s of an additional 'robustifying' regulator that does not modify nomin
al tracking performances. The synthesis of this regulator does not req
