Abstract
A single GaN-based light emitting diode (LED) induced both coloring an d bleaching reactions of photochromic molecules. Coloring reactions of photochromic diarylethenes were performed using light of a short wave length which was emitted from a GaN-based LED driven by a pulsed curre nt, and bleaching reactions were performed using light of a long wavel ength which was emitted from the LED driven by a constant current.
