Abstract
The Center for Astrophysics redshift survey is complete to m(B(0)) les s than or equal to 15.5 in the Zwicky system and it now spans a wide s olid angle: 8(h) less than or equal to alpha less than or equal to 17( h) and 80.5 degrees less than or equal to delta less than or equal to 44.5 degrees. The size and depth of the survey are unprecedented among complete and well defined redshift surveys. We identify groups of gal axies within the survey (405 groups in our ''best'' catalog) and study the performances of the. friends-of-friends identification algorithm.
