Abstract
A novel wavelength measurement system based on an InGaAs-InP multiple quantum-well electroabsorption filtering detector has been demonstrate d. The tunable wavelength response of the filtering detector is used i n an active manner to track the wavelength of a spectrally narrow inpu t optical signal. An average resolution of +/-8.30 pm was achieved, ov er a measurement range of 43 mn.
