Abstract
Downconversion of microwave signals using fiberoptic links is investig ated while low-biasing one modulator in a cascaded pair. Enhancement o f the downconverted signal and variation of intermodulation distortion terms as a function of phase bias are studied theoretically and exper imentally. Distortion is significant at high local oscillator powers n eeded to minimize conversion loss.
