Abstract
The implementation of the multiple-quantum (MQ) versions of the PGSE a nd LED pulsed field-gradient NMR diffusion experiments is described fo r the coherence order 21 for isolated quadrupolar (spin I) nuclei in a nisotropic systems. The MQPGSE and MQLED experiments are capable of me asuring slow diffusion accurately, the latter also in the case of fast transverse relaxation. Signal-to-noise ratios are discussed, and the methods are experimentally demonstrated for Li-7(+) (J = 3/2) in an or iented sample of DNA fibers.
