Abstract
Reaction of VCl3(THF)(3) with [(CH3)(3)Si]NPhLi led to the formation o
f the corresponding tetrahedral {[(CH3)(3)Si]NPh}V-3(THF) complex. Con
versely, the reaction of CH3C[(CH2)N(i-Pr)Li](3) (TIAME) with VCl3(THF
)(3) gave the new dinitrogen complex (TIAME)V-N-2-V(TIAME) whose struc
ture was determined by X-ray analysis.
